EPSE @ GRC on CCUS 2023

We are excited to present our research at the Gordon Research Conference on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage 2023, organized by Prof. Bardow and the EPSE Team.

This year, the external pageGordon Research Conference on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage 2023 is organized by André Bardow and the EPSE team. From our team, André Bardow, David Shu, Vincent Dufour-Décieux, and Johannes Schilling will attend the conference from May 28 to June 02, 2023, in Switzerland.

David presents our work on the role of carbon capture and storage to achieve net-zero energy systems, a life-cycle assessment study on the system effects of CO2 capture within energy systems transitioning to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.

Vincent presents our work on our new development of classical Density Functional Theory to computationally predict the properties for carbon capture of metal-organic frameworks, where we show that our method keeps the same accuracy as state-of-the-art methods while running 100 times faster.

Johannes presents our work on “Sustainable adsorbents for carbon capture: A high-throughput screening approach based on environmental impacts”, a joint project with our partners from the external pagePrISMa project on selecting the metal-organic frameworks for CO2 capture based on environmental criteria.

We look forward to being interested listeners and exciting discussions!
